PEGG Doesn't Need Your Permission to Be Great

I've been seeing snippets of PEGG in action across social media and on every occasion I've hit the save button.

There's a reason for that.

I hate to compare, I really do… But there’s an AKA feel to his style. Not in the way that takes anything away from who he is, more like a familiar energy you recognise before you can explain it. That first listen kind of feeling. Still, that’s not why he caught my ear.

Let's talk "So Fabulous."

My first proper listen at what PEGG has to offer.

Here Pegg talks about the experience, and the fact that everywhere he goes he's taken seriously. Here's the thing, he didn't even have to say it. His talent speaks for itself. I can hear it in his tone. The hunger, the intention, the drive, the delivery.

PEGG isn’t waiting to be discovered. He moves like someone who already knows what’s coming.

There’s no hesitation here. No soft entry. If you want it, act like you want it, and PEGG does.

Call it arrogance if you want. He won’t argue with you. Because what sits underneath it feels closer to conviction. To self-assurance. The kind that doesn’t ask for permission before it speaks.

You hear it in the way he writes. Not just what he’s saying, but how comfortably he says it.

There’s a winsome rhythm to it. Confident, but not forced. It's like the words arrived knowing exactly where they belong.

And then he leans all the way in:

I'm arrogant, excuse me if I'm acting all imperious..

I got a right to be this way, I'm Tiberius...
With a strong military, you probably shouldn't query us
We're taking over, the opposition delirious
My life is feeling dangerous, I'm getting all precarious

You can call me a stickler for good writing, but I love me a good rhyme. And I notice the small things, like how “query us” sits in that rhyme pocket as well. It shouldn’t be that smooth, but it is.

I admit it, I'm a fan of PEGG. In fact I became a fan before I even heard a full track, just off TikTok snippets alone.

So yeah… I’m a fan of PEGG.

Which makes “Fan of Me” feel like the right place to go next.

Fan of Me

Pegg carries the same energy on this one too. Still on that Tiberius shit, commanding, coming after all of it.

And if you're not aware of his existence we might as well declare it a state of emergency! Ha Ha. Love that.

Won't go into too much detail here but to sum it all up,

Bro is high on the ranking,

He is the damn king, and his intention is to make sure he looks like a captain.
